Every MCIP participant completes this boot camp before starting their internship.

This boot camps exposes participants to a career path in manufacturing. Participants tour a variety of companies to get an understanding that each company is different and unique.

Discussions of expectations at the work site and of work ethic prepares participants for a positive experience in the work environment and gaining the responsibility of a full time job.

Topics include: Conflict resolution, sexual harassment, and other soft skill training. It provides a positive experience in the work environment and gives them the interns for the responsibility of a full time job.

Interns have Career Advisors who provide positive reinforcement to interns that help them succeed. The team visits the worksite several times during the internship and meets with both the employer and intern to provide meaningful feedback to assure a successful internship.
