Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP)

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides training for low-income, unemployed seniors. Participants gain work experience in a variety of community service activities at non-profit and public facilities, including schools, hospitals, day-care centers, and senior centers, allowing them to enhance and provide needed services.

The Manufacturing Career Internship Program (MCIP) has won awards from the State of Illinois as the most innovative workforce program and has been presented as a model program at several national conferences!

Unlike others, this program allows employers to meet, interview, evaluate, and select interns prior to internship start date.
